ABOUT US
Founding Story

Luminary Integrative Health was founded by a group of passionate young women who began by asking a simple question: if not us, then who?
Motivated by our shared experiences and the realities many women face, we came together with a desire to create something meaningful within our communities.
Many of our board members have witnessed or personally experienced the injustices we now advocate against. These experiences shaped our paths and led us to pursue education in holistic health and integrative medicine, deepening our understanding of trauma and how it affects the body, mind, and spirit.
Collectively, our team holds training across a diverse range of healing traditions, including Ayurvedic medicine, Western herbal medicine, Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese medicine, and conventional Western medicine.
Luminary was founded on the belief that healing is best supported by compassionate communities and diverse approaches to care.
We remain committed to continual learning, recognizing that our greatest source of wisdom comes from the voices and lived experiences of those we serve.

OUR APPROACH
Luminary is a community built on the belief that healing happens when people come together to support one another. We've created a model where access to holistic care is not a privilege, it's a shared commitment.
Practitioner Network
Our platform gives holistic and integrative health practitioners a space to invest in their own wellbeing and professional growth. Through a monthly membership, practitioners can offer and receive services within our community through an energy exchange, access resources, and be part of a network that values their care as much as the care they provide.
Holistic Employee Benefits
Luminary offers a holistic employee benefit for organizations who want to support the wellbeing of their teams. Employers purchase credits that staff can use toward self-care services through the platform, bringing accessible, integrative healthcare into the workplace.
Community Grants
Through our grant program, practitioners can apply for funding to provide subsidized, trauma-informed care to women affected by gender-based violence. As a condition of the grant, first-time recipients are required to complete a trauma-informed care certification through our partner organization, ensuring the women we serve receive care that is not only accessible, but deeply informed and compassionate.
The revenue generated across our platform and partnerships flows back into this mission, creating a sustainable cycle of care.
Our mission is to shine light in the world's darkest spaces.
Our Guiding Principles
Advocacy
We strive to be a voice for those who may not yet be able to advocate for themselves. By addressing the social stigmas surrounding trauma, we aim to create spaces where individuals feel supported in seeking the care they need.
Patience
Healing is not linear, but a process that takes time. We believe patience is essential in supporting individuals as they navigate and integrate difficult life experiences.
Support
Luminary is dedicated to addressing the physical, psychological, and emotional impacts of gender-based violence. We recognize that healing looks different for everyone and honor the unique journey of each individual.
Integrity
We are committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity in all that we do. Through compassion, respect, and honesty, we aim to honor each person’s lived experience and individual path to healing.
Resilience
We believe in the resilience of both nature and the human spirit. With the right support and resources, individuals have the capacity to overcome challenges and move forward on their healing journey.
Education
We believe that access to knowledge empowers individuals to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing. Through education and shared learning, we aim to support greater understanding of the body and the healing process.

Who we serve
Luminary’s work is centered on supporting women who have experienced gender-based violence by expanding access to trauma-informed holistic healthcare and education.
Gender-based violence refers to harmful acts committed against an individual based on their gender. It can include physical, sexual, psychological, or economic abuse and often occurs within systems of power imbalance and social stigma. These experiences may occur in many contexts, including intimate partner relationships, family settings, workplaces, or within the broader community.
While Luminary’s Community Grants help support women on their healing journey, Luminary is made possible through the collective efforts of practitioners, community partners, and supporters who believe in building a more compassionate and accessible model of care.
